Meri Kurisumasu!

It's been awhile, but here are some pictures to catch-up.

Santa is one of our missionaries

"Pie-ing" is a tradition in our mission--a loving farewell to a missionary who is going home.
This one was unique because there were 5 in one zone.

He's my hero!

The highlight of the Christmas season was having our whole mission come together.
It was a heavenly time!

A fun Christmas gift!

A kind church member gave this special cake to Kacie as a good-bye gift.
She leaves on the 28th to head for home and then BYU-I!

We feel very blessed--for health, for loving family & friends,
for the gracious Japanese people who are so good to us
and especially for a Savior who wants to help us every step of the way.

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a joyful 2018!!

Kiseki! ("A Miracle")

We had a different Thanksgiving, but it involved a miracle. About two days before, we decided to try and see if Kacie could go to BYU Idaho in January. The closest place to take the GED test was Tokyo. On Thanksgiving Day she flew to Tokyo by herself, and took the test the next day.
She passed!!
Things just clicked into place and she has officially been accepted to BYU-I.  We count this a great blessing and acknowledge the Hand of the Lord in helping it to come about.

Thankful for FaceTime!!

And walks around the temple grounds!
(We've had some snow, but it hasn't been bad yet.)

A fun FHE activity.  Can you tell which Book of Mormon story is being acted out??

Were you right?
We, like Lehi, are on a journey and we're loving it.

We express our love and thankfulness for family and dear friends.
May your Christmas Season by Full of Joy!

This is the opening video for the Light the World initiative.
