Life is "AWE"-Full Busy

It was an awfully busy week of traveling, interviewing and zone conferences!

We had our first snow, but the beautiful fall weather continues.

This is the path that Kacie walks to the subway every school day.

There are so many beautiful places here.  It's truly awe-inspiring.

We had to come check out this awfully strange Lord of the Rings type landmark.

We found out that it was created to celebrate Sapporo's 100th birthday.

It really has been a crazy busy week with little let-up in sight.  Sometimes I just have to think, "All I have to do right now is ______________" to not get too overwhelmed.

But also it is the most AWE-some experience ever that I can't believe that I get to be a part of--

Truly full of awe in every way!

We are in the midst of zone conferences and tomorrow we start the next round of 100+ interviews.

Fall is our favorite time of year!

She's 18!

Yesterday our baby celebrated her 18^th Birthday.

Her addition to our family was a “meant-to-be” miracle.  She was (and is) the frosting on the cake!!

Sweet is the Work!

          This past week was busy.  It was our 2^nd time to have transfers.

              Monday night we had a delightful group of about 78 for Family Home Evening.

            There’s always a fun game, musical number, lesson, group picture and refreshments.

                                Tuesday evening we picked up our 10 new missionaries. 

     They weren’t on their flight, but were able to catch the next plane which arrived an hour later.

Wednesday, there is training, temple session, meeting their new trainers, and a testimony meeting.

                            Thursday after breakfast, they all head out to their new assignments.

The departing missionaries arrive, do a temple session, have their final interview, enjoy a traditional Sukiyaki dinner and have a testimony meeting.

Friday morning after breakfast, we head back to the airport to send our beloved missionaries to their homes.   Then we hurry back to meet any families that have come to personally pick up their missionary. 

Needless to say, it is BIG!  Hours & hours of preparation go into matching new companionships and placing them in the right area.  Lot of food is bought, prepared, consumed and cleaned up. Valiant men and women come and go.   All in all, it is a very sweet time!
